Business Launch Party

A couple of weeks ago, I officially launched my business and had a business launch party! It went pretty well! My favorite part of the launch party was the giveaway, of course! If you know me, I couldn’t just have a giveaway without making people work for it, so I made a contest out of it! I provided those who wanted to participate with thick paper, colored pencils, and paint and asked them to draw or paint something that inspires them.

I’m not sure what I expected, but nothing prepared me for the results of all of this! Some people went ALL OUT! Some of the things that people painted ranged from a lighthouse to the Chik-fil-A logo (and I ain’t even mad). As I walked around the room and saw people diligently creating things that inspired them, my heart was full. I knew that this business is something that I want to pursue. And you know what inspired me that night? Everyone who participated in the contest. To me, it showed vulnerability and it showed dedication. What’s interesting is the fact that these two characteristics are exactly what it needed to start a business like this – vulnerability and dedication. Mind. Blown.

Anyway – my friends, Katherine and Lia, won first and second place! Katherine drew a lovely, intricate flower and Lia painted a colorful sunset. As you can see from the photo below, they did an amazing job!

By the end of the night, I was full of joy and gratitude. I was worried that people may not have fun, but I was so pleased with the outcome! People had fun and I felt so loved. I am thankful for each and every person that came and showed their support.

I still can’t believe that I am a legitimate business owner! If you asked me last year if I thought that I’d be where I am today, I’d probably laugh… and think you’re a little bit crazy. I’m amazed at how much things can change in a year, but I am loving this adventure! I am grateful for this process of starting this business because it’s helped me realize that the most important thing is that the Lord gets glory from this. I’m humbled that the Lord has given me these artistic abilities and the response to this gift that makes the most sense is to share it with others and point people to Jesus. That’s where my heart is.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

— 1 Peter 4:10-11

For those of you that are still reading this, I want to ask you a similar question to the one I asked those who came to my business launch party. What are some things that inspire you?

Love & Blessings,

Acamy
